Collection For Typhoon Victims, Restaurant's 10th Anniversary, Thanksgiving This Week
Here's a look at the week ahead in Westwood, Hillsdale and Washington Township.
St. Andrew's Church of Westwood will be collecting donations this week for victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Phillipines. Checks and goods — a list of what's needed is here— can be dropped off at the church's parish center between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on weekdays through November 26.
The Melting Pot of Westwood is celebrating their 10th anniversary. The restaurant will be holding a celebration from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday. RSVP here.
The Washington Township Council might introduce an ordinance setting public television programming guidelines during their meeting this week. The council meets at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the township municipal building. The public portion agenda is available here.
The Pascack Valley Regional Board of Education meets at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the PVHS auditorium. The agenda is available here.
Blooming Hearts Gift Shop of Westwood will hold a Thanksgiving-themed floral design event from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. Materials cost $15. Call 201-497-8787 to reserve a spot.
The Hillsdale Planning Board meets at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the borough hall.
