Westwood School Board Renews Hanlon as President

Members of the Westwood Region Board of Education selected Roberta Hanlon as their 2014 president and Lee-Ann Schaadt as vice president.

Roberta Hanlon will continue leading the Westwood Regional Board of Education as its president this year.

Members of the board elected Hanlon as their president and Lee-Ann Schaadt as their vice president during their annual reorganization meeting last week. Hanlon also served as board president last year.

The top priorities for the board this year will be continuing their efforts to open up to the community and the ongoing superintendent search, according to Hanlon. Toward those goals, Interim Superintendent James Sheerin will continue meeting with student and parent groups, while the board will be renewing their efforts to find a new permanent superintendent.

"Westwood is in a good place educationally," Hanlon said. "We're going to continue that and keep moving forward."
