LACE DAY IN BERGEN COUNTY

The Bergen County Metro Chapter of the International Organization of Lace’s annual Lace Day in Westwood, NJ, on Saturday, November 2, 2013, presents an opportunity for you to see lace being created as well as view an extensive display of lace projects, both completed and in progress, on that day.  You may even get to experience what it is like to make bobbin lace on the “TRY ME” pillow available for those interested!

The Lace Chapter’s 25th Annual Lace Day will be presented at the ELKS BPO Westwood Lodge, 505 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Saturday, November 2 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  The current year’s theme, “LACE CELEBRATIONS,” will be featured in Lace Making Demonstrations along with an extensive Lace Exhibit, both of which are open to the public.  Admission is free. Vendors selling books, patterns and supplies, such as thread, bobbins and other lace making tools, will also be present.

A Children’s “Hands On” class ($5 fee) to create a unique bobbin lace project will be held on Saturday, November 2, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.  An adult accompanying the child must be on the premises during the class.  Pre-registration is required.
