Summer Concerts Start in Westwood Thursday

The borough hosts concerts in Veterans' Memorial Park each summer.

Westwood's annual summer concert series starts in the Veterans' Memorial Park bandstand this week.

The borough will host a variety of musical performers including: oldies band Reminisce June 27, banjo group Ragtimers July 3, R&B band Soul Finger Live July 11, Billy Joel cover group Danny V & the 52nd St. Band July 18 and Bruce Sprinsteen cover band Tramps Like Us July 25. The concerts all start at 8 p.m.

The Westwood Community Band will perform in the bandstand at 8 p.m. June 28 and every Friday in July. They will also play a Sunday afternoon concert September 1 at 3 p.m. The band breaks out into different ensembles for their different performances, playing "light classics, showtunes, big band marches and patriotic selections," so it's a different show each time.
