Hey nicnac – I’m sorry if you didn’t see this article! It was, as I said earlier, in one of the top four slots of the Mahwah Patch homepage all day on May 6, and was the second item in the daily newsletter that day. Luckily, I don’t think too many others missed it. So far, it’s gotten 536 Facebook recommends and has been clicked on about 1,800 times.

Hey Lily -- Yes, most of the people at the meeting were upset about the 95-5 rule, which went into effect after they bought their homes. The 95-5 rules states it applies to all affordable housing units, no matter when they were purchased. The question is really about whether or not it overrides the contracts these homeowners have from 25 years ago, which say they could sell at full market value. Though the rule is from 2004, most residents at the meeting said they only found about about it when the township sent out a notice about it a few weeks ago.
