'Tender is the Night' Closing After 25 Years
The Westwood lingerie shop's owners are ready to retire.
Tender is the Night Lingerie, a mainstay of downtown Westwood for 20 years, is closing at the end of the year, according to Marjorie Tesser, one of the shop's owners. Tesser and her business partner, Bonnie Harwin, were coming to the end of their lease and needed to decide whether they wanted to commit to keeping the store for another five or 10 years. "It was a tough decision," Tesser said. "We love the business and our people." It was apparently just a coincidence that Irish Eyes Imports, located next door, was also closing, Tesser said. The store first opened in Nyack, N.Y. in 1987 and moved it to Westwood five years later, where they have been ever since. Over the years, the shop has been a part of many local families' lives. The …
