The owner of a Westwood business who said he wants to be a big part of the community isn’t waiting long to start giving back. Olive Branch & Grape Vine, which is located on Third Avenue and opened a second location in Ramsey last month, will start hosting ‘Olive Charity Days’ once a month. Once a month, the specialty oil shop will donate a portion of the day’s proceeds to a local charity. "There are so many wonderful nonprofits in and around Bergen County," owner Paul Karoyan said in a release. "All a local nonprofit has to do is send a letter of interest, and we will take care of the rest. Olive Branch & Grape Vine opened a new shop in Ramsey.
A specialty olive oil and vinegar shop that opened its first location in Westwood last year has settled into its second location, on Main Street in Ramsey. Olive Branch & Grape Vine officially opened to the public Friday, the store announced in a release over the weekend. The unique shop caries premium olive oils and vinegars, as well as oil-based products like soaps, lotions, shampoos and conditioners, and loose leaf teas, ceramic pieces, cookware and more. It also offers special event items, like wedding favors, gift baskets, and olive oil tasting parties. Olive Branch & Grape Vine is planning to open a second location in Ramsey.
Specialty oils and balsamic vinegars are coming to Ramsey. Paul Karoyan, the owner of Olive Branch & Grape Vine in Westwood says he is planning to open his second location on E. Main Street in Ramsey this spring. The new shop will replace Lolo’s Sweets & Sundries, which closed in August. Karoyan, a Waldwick resident who has been in the finance and banking industry for 20 years, said he opened his first shop last year after adding specialty olive oils and balsamic vinegars to his diet. “I was really just looking for a way to lower my cholesterol, and to use more healthy ingredients when I was cooking at home,” he said. “It worked so well, and really helped with my health, I thought sharing it with people might work.” Karoyan opened Olive …

Olive Branch & Grape Vine held a grand opening celebration Saturday. The store carries 25 different varieties of cold pressed extra-virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar, including many infused with different flavors. Owner Paul Karoyan previously told Patch he was inspired to start the store because of the benefits olive oil has had for his own health. A new store that opened in Westwood this week offers 25 exclusive varieties of olive oil, balsamic vinegar and other olive oil-based products. Olive Branch & Grape Vine owner Paul Karoyan said he and his wife, Darina, were inspired to open the store because of the impact olive oil has had on their own health. "The health effects are tremendous," Karoyan said. "We wanted to share that with people." Lu Sounds good. WW would be pleased Olive Oil is good for you without it you can not digest fat soluble vitamins like what is in a salad. I have not tried the flavored EVOO yet but will. Thanks.   more ›
