Ladies in Blue Earn $8,400 for Breast Cancer Research

The female police officers participated in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk

Team Ladies in Blue Fighting in Pink participated in the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk Sunday. The 5K noncompetitive walk at the new Overpeck Park in Ridgefield Park was to honor breast cancer survivors, educate people about breast cancer prevention and early detection and show that with the American Cancer Society, you get more pink for your green. Police Officer Heather Castronova of the Township of Washington Police Department with the assistance of Old Tappan Police Officer Katie Weaver, the team leaders for Ladies in Blue Fighting in Pink, compiled a team of female officers throughout New Jersey. Team Ladies in Blue Fighting in Pink will help save lives from breast cancer and create a world with more birthdays on Sunday by participating in the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer®.
