Westwood Wrestling Rallies Past Fort Lee
Nick Palatta pins opponent in final match of come-from-behind win.
After Fort Lee junior Demir Radoncic pinned his opponent during his match in the 215 division , the home crowd at the Fort Lee High School gym erupted. That pin gave the Bridgemen their first lead of the night in a tight contest with Westwood. But that lead was short lived as Westwood’s Nick Palatta pinned Fort Lee sophomore Kevin Sabaci in 31 seconds of the final match to give the Cardinals a 38-36 victory. “We knew we needed more than four points to get the victory there and our big guy came through for us in the clutch,” said Westwood head coach Paul Castalini. “[Palatta] let us down a bit last week and I think he had it in his head that he had to come through and make up for the errors of last week.” Westwood started with back-to-…
