Flood Watch in Westwood, Hillsdale Wednesday

A winter storm expected to hit the Pascack Valley Wednesday afternoon may cause flooding. The National Weather Service announced a flood watch in Bergen County starting at 1 p.m. Wednesday and lasting until Thursday morning. The storm is expected to bring 1.5 to 2 inches of precipitation. Local water levels were still higher than normal following another storm last week and a light snow Monday night. Gages used by the U.S. Geological Survey in the Pascack Brook showed that water was about 6 inches deeper Wednesday morning than before the storm last week.
