The Bergen Academy of Reform Judaism (BARJ) is run out of Temple Beth Or in Washington Township. Classes for students in grades in grades 8 through 12 meet Wednesday evenings at the temple. Students participating in Bar/Bat Mitzvahs in eighth grade are required to enroll in BARJ with a good attendance record. The program includes academic components, retreats and special activities geared toward Jewish young adults. BARJ is affiliated with Temple Beth Or, Temple Avodat Shalom in River Edge and Temple Emeth in Teaneck.
