Gas Leak Shuts Down Broadway in Westwood
Parts of Broadway, Washington Avenue and Westwood Avenue were shut down for several hours Monday after a crew working on the signalization improvement project struck a gas main, according to Westwood Fire Chief Jaymee Hodges.Contractors hit the main at the busy Broadway intersection shortly after 8 a.m. and crews from PSE&G spent hours stopping the leak. Work repairing the main lasted until that evening.
