Veterans Day, Rabies Clinic This Week

Here's a look at what's going on this week in Westwood, Hillsdale and Washington Township.

Monday is Veterans Day. Local government offices will be closed.

The Hillsdale Board of Education is scheduled to meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the Anne Blanche Smith School media center. The agenda is available here.

The Pascack Valley Regional Board of Education will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in PVHS room 103. The agenda is available here.

Road work will occur on Park Avenue between First and Second Avenues Monday, the intersection of Park and First Avenues Tuesday and Wednesday and the intersection of Broadway and Jefferson Avenue all week, according to Westwood officials.

Rainbow Academy of Westwood is holding an open house this week from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. each day and from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.

The Hillsdale Council is scheduled to continue discussing the Joan D'Alessandro memorial during their meeting this week. The council meets at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the borough hall. The full agenda is available here.

The Westwood Council is scheduled to vote on the new set of rules for police promotions during their meeting this week, among other topics. The council meets at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the borough municipal building. The full agenda is available here.

Hillsdale will host a rabies clinic for all Pascack Valley pet owners Wednesday evening at the DPW behind Kings. Leashed dogs will be welcome from 6 to 7 p.m. at a cost of $15 if spayed/neutered or $18 if not and cats in carriers will be welcome from 7 to 8 p.m. at a cost of $15.
