Restaurant Week, Green Screen Film Festival This Week

Here's a look at the week ahead in Westwood, Hillsdale and Washington Township.

Local government offices will be closed for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

The fifth annual Green Screen film festival starts Tuesday with a screening of "Plastic Paradise" at the Westwood Library.

The Hillsdale Planning Board meets at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the borough hall.

St. John's Church will start a new, free weekly program titled "How to Read Music" taught by a Julliard grad from 7 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays and from 6:30 to 7 p.m. Thursdays. Open to people of all experience levels, including beginners.

Westwood will hold a free anti-rabies clinic for dogs and cats at the train station Saturday.

Blooming Hearts Gift Shop will host a special chef demonstration with Travis B. Young, executive chef of Hoboken's Elysian Cafe, at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

The Washington Township Knights of Columbus will hold their annual free throw contest for children age 9-14 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday in the high school lower gym.
