CVS Hearing, Special Election, Fright Night This Week

Here's a look at the week ahead in Westwood, Hillsdale and Washington Township.

Government offices in Westwood, Hillsdale and Washington Township will be closed Monday for Columbus Day.

The Hillsdale Board of Education meets at 7:30 p.m. Monday in Meadowbrook School.

The Pascack Valley Regional Board of Education meets at 7:30 p.m. Monday in PVHS.

Tuesday is the last day to register for the general election next month.

The Washington Township Zoning Board is scheduled to continue hearing testimony about a proposed CVS during their meeting this week. At the least hearing, property owner James Kourgelis spoke about the history of the property. The board meets at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the township municipal building. The agenda is available here.

The Westwood Council is scheduled to introduce a pair of ordinances change the rules for taxis and limos in the borough during their meeting this week. The council's public meeting starts at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the borough municipal building. The full agenda is available here.

Wednesday is the special election for New Jersey's new senator to replace Frank Lautenberg.
