Residents "Rock Around the Clock" for Hospice

The Community Hospice of Bergen County held an oldies dance fundraiser Saturday.

The Community Hospice of Bergen County held an oldies dance in the Saturday night to raise money so they can continue to provide free care to patients.

The group was founded in 2007 after the Pascack Valley Hospital closed, with the goal of providing free hospice care to patients beyond medical treatment. They have been caring for a limited number of patients since they were licensed last June.

The hospice is holding a ribbon-cutting Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. outside of their office at 105 Fairview Avenue to celebrate , which will allow them to officially open to a larger number of patients.
