Westwood School Board to Hear Presentation on Superintendent Search

New Jersey School Boards Association rep Alfred Annunziata will speak to the Westwood Regional Board of Education Thursday.

Alfred Annunziata, a representative of the New Jersey School Boards Assocation, is scheduled to make a presentation at the Westwood Regional Board of Education meeting Thursday.

Annunziata wil speak to the board about their search for a new superintendent.

Current Superintendent Goeffrey Zoeller has resigned effective April 25 and is currently on a paid leave of absence. Acting Superintendent Rory McCourt, the district's director of elementary education and technology, is currently filling the role.

Board members previously decided they would take quotes and hear presentations from the NJSBA and private firms to seek help in their search for a new superintendent.

All the presentations will be made during public meetings, Board President Roberta Hanlon previously told Patch. The NJSBA presentation will be the first one the board hears.

The Westwood Regional Board of Education meets at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Westwood Regional High School.
