Westwood Regional High School Holding 5K For Sandy Relief

Several district faculty members lost their homes in Hurricane Sandy.

Westwood Regional High School will host a 5K race and mile fun run March 23 to raise money for Hurricane Sandy relief.

The money raised, along with that from other recent fundraisers like the art sale, will go to Hurricane Sandy relief in the district according to Courtney Jackson, A Westwood High teacher who is coordinating the event. Several faculty members lost their homes in the storm, she said.

"We want to help those who need it the most in our own backyard," Jackson said.

The event will take place starting at 9 a.m. March 23 at the high school track. Registration costs $25 for the 5K or $10 for the fun run. An entry form is due by March 1. Download the form here.

Registration will also be available starting at 7:30 the morning of the event for $30, but anyone who signs up on the day of will not receive a t-shirt.
