Washington School Students Quilt For MLK Day

Fourth grade students at Washington Elementary School in Washington Township created a "Unity Quilt" to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday.

Washington Elementary School recently celebrated Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday with a “Unity Quilt.”

Margaret Kristofick’s fourth grade students created the “Unity Quilt” to promote the Dr. King-inspired themes of teamwork, citizenship, and peace. The quilt is displayed in the classroom, serving as a reminder for students to embody Dr. King’s ideals within their own lives.
