The Westwood-Washington Township Education Foundation is holding its fifth annual gala at Seasons March 1.
At the gala, the foundation will be naming 1995 Westwood Regional Jr. Sr. High School graduate Alejandro “Alex” Iglesias the Cardinal Alumni Achievement Award winner. Iglesias is an two-time Emmy-winning journalist who has worked for companies that include CBS, AOL and MSG.
The foundation will also present former County Clerk Elizabeth Randall with the Distinguished Community Member award and awards of excellence to representatives from each school.
Last year, more than 450 residents attended the Education Foundation's gala.
The foundation is also holding an online auction until March 4. The 136 items up for bid include dinner for four at Rao's Restaurant in New York and a trip to Cancun, Mexico. The auctions can be viewed here.
The Westwood-Washington Township Education Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in 1991 with the goal of improving the education experience in local schools. The previous four galas have raised almost $250,000 for the district.
