Westwood Holds Free Anti-Rabies Clinic

The Jan. 25 clinic is open to all New Jersey residents.

The Westwood Board of Health will host a free anti-rabies clinic for dogs and cats January 25 at the train station.

Cats, brought in secure carriers only, will be accepted from 1 to 1:30 p.m. Dogs, on leashes or in carriers, will be accepted from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

The vaccine will be given to pets age 4 months or older. It lasts one year for first-timers or three years for those previously inoculated. Forms are available here.

The clinic is open to all New Jersey residents, and provides Westwood residents with an opportunity to get the vaccines required for a pet license. Borough residents can obtain a license by mailing this application and a fee of $10 for neutered pets and $15 for non-neutered pets before February 28 to the Board of Health, 101 Washington Avenue.
