Westwood, Hillsdale School Board Winners

Most local board of education seats were uncontested this year.

Current Westwood Regional Board of Education President Carol Mountain and Russell Miller won two contested Westwood seats on the school board, according to unofficial election results released Tuesday night.

Miller had 1,146 votes, Mountain had 1,028 votes and incumbent Susan Swietkowski had 881. Results from mail-in and provisional ballots were not immediately available Tuesday.

Numbers for a Washington Township seat on the board, sought by unopposed incumbent Paul Liddy, were not immediately available.

In Hillsdale, one seat on the Pascack Valley Regional Board of Education was sought by unopposed incumbent Jeffrey Steinfeld, who received 1,384 votes according to unofficial results. 

Two seats were uncontested on the Hillsdale Board of Educaton. Kathleen O'Flynn received 1,258 votes and Maryann Martino received 914 votes.
