Schroeder's Commercial Properties to be Sold, Judge Orders

Six Pascack Valley commercial properties owned by Assemblyman Robert Schroeder will be auctioned off in an effort to pay his debts, as ordered by a judge this week, court records show.

The properties include 583 Broadway and 459 Broadway in Westwood, 74 Prospect Place and 539 Piermont Avenue in Hillsdale and 89 Broadway and 99 Roland Street in Park Ridge. The minimum bulk price set by Judge Novalyn L. Winfield is $3.9 million.

The auction will take place at 10 a.m. December 4.

Oritani Bank had filed six lawsuits against Schroeder over mortgages on the properties last year. Earlier this year, the bank sold the debt, allegedly about $3.5 million, to the 100 Mile Fund of Englewood Cliffs for an undisclosed sum.

If there are no bids, the fund will be considered the high bidder, according to the court order.

Information about the properties is available through the 100 Mile Fund, according to the order.
