Local Governments Reorganizing This Week

The Washington Township, Westwood and Hillsdale councils are all holding annual reorganization meetings.

Local governments in Westwood, Hillsdale and Washington Township will hold their annual reorganization meetings this week.

The Washington Township Council will meet Wednesday night. There were no local elections in the township this year, but some new professionals may be appointed. The meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the Municipal Complex.

The Westwood Council will meet Thursday night. Council members Peter Grefrath and Ray Arroyo, who were respectively re-elected and elected in November, will take their oaths of office. The reorganization meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in the Community Center and there will be a sine die meeting at 6:30 p.m.

The Hillsdale Council will meet Sunday. New council members Larry Meyerson and Jason DeGise will take their oaths of office alongside current members Chris Looes and Tom Kelley, who were all elected in November. Looes and Kelley have already been on the council since their victory, but will participate in the public oath with the new members. The meeting will be held at 1 p.m. in Borough Hall.
