Downtown Westwood Roadwork Schedule

Ongoing roadwork in downtown Westwood is scheduled to temporarily close several streets this week. 

Borough officials released the following schedule for November 18 through 22:

Monday morning, November 18 – Zuccaro & Sons will complete the traffic signal conduit work at Broadway and Jefferson Avenue.  No lane closures will be required.
Monday afternoon, November 18 – Zuccaro & Sons will move to the northwest corner of Irvington Street and Broadway to complete work started by PSE&G
Tuesday morning, November 19 – Verizon will be at Broadway and 1st Avenue changing service connections.  PSE&G and Zuccaro & Sons will be at Irvington Street and Broadway.
Tuesday afternoon November 19 – work on curbing driveway at the old Ford dealership.  PSE&G will complete their overhead wire relocation (8 hours)
Wednesday, November 20 – Irvington Street from Broadway to Madison Avenue
Thursday morning, November 21 – Irvington Street from Broadway to Madison Avenue
Note 1: Irvington Street from Broadway to Washington Avenue will remain open for the entire construction period.  Customers will be able to access Trader Joe’s, A&P Liquors, the Delta Gas Station and all other establishments.
Thursday afternoon, November 21 – Broadway and Washington Avenue – begin construction of retaining wall for bus shelter.
Friday, November 22 – Retaining wall and prepare for installation of new sidewalk on Broadway south of intersection with Washington Avenue
Note 2: On Thursday, November 21 the milling and paving of Third Avenue, Park Avenue, First Avenue from Park to Elm and Madison Avenue in Veterans’ Park may begin.
If the authorization is given, the milling and paving to begin on Thursday, November 21 then commuters will not be allowed to park on those streets for four days – Thursday, November 21, Friday, November 22, Monday, November 25 and Tuesday, November 26.
The streets will remain open to through traffic. There will be lane closures in the area where the milling and paving is being done.
