Downtown Westwood Construction Schedule

Ongoing roadwork in downtown Westwood is scheduled to temporarily close several streets this week. 

The NJ Transit bus stop on Broadway at Washington Avenue will remain closed through December 6. Riders on Bus Route No. 165 Local, Parkway Express, Route 4 Express and Turnpike Express should use a temporary stop on Broadway at Irvington. 

Westwood officials also released the following construction schedule for this week:

Monday All day – NJ Transit will be working on in their rail road right of way.  They will be cleaning up the track bed and spreading clean stone. They will require the use of 11 parking spaces on Broadway between Jefferson and Washington Avenues.
Southwest corner of Washington Avenue and Broadway (southbound).  Zuccaro Contracting will continue construction of a retaining wall in the railroad right-of-way. 

Zuccaro Contracting will prepare the roadways for the winter season.  This includes putting black top around manhole covers and handicapped ramps to avoid trip hazards.
Zuccaro Contracting will be conducting a general debris and material pick up at all locations.
Tuesday PSE&G is scheduled to wrap up work in the southbound lane and behind the curb at the intersection of Broadway and Irvington Street. The wrap up is estimated to take three hours. There will be intermittent lane closures.

All day – PSE&G is tentatively scheduled to work behind the curb and on the sidewalk at the intersection of Broadway and Jefferson Avenue.  No lane closures are anticipated.
Thursday Southwest corner of Washington Avenue and Broadway (southbound).  Zuccaro Contracting will continue with the construction of a retaining wall in the railroad right-of-way.
Friday Southwest corner of Washington Avenue and Broadway (southbound).  Zuccaro Contracting will continue with the construction of a retaining wall in the railroad right-of-way.
