Westwood's Regino Sworn In as Chiefs Association Second VP

Westwood Police Chief Frank Regino will serve as the second vice president of the Bergen County Police Chiefs Association this year.

Westwood Police Chief Frank Regino was sworn in as the second vice president of the Bergen County Police Chiefs Association Friday.

The association works to promote cooperation among law enforcement agencies and promotes various charitable causes each year.

Regino, who has served since 1974 and been with the chiefs association since he became Westwood's chief in 2005, said he was proud to earn the position and that he aimed to continue contributing to the benefits they bring to the community.

"It's a fantastic organization," he said. "There's a wealth of knowledge with all the chiefs and retired chiefs."

Regino has been a member of the association's board since 2010, previously serving as sergeant at arms, financial secretary, recording secretary and third vice president. He said he also hoped to serve as first vice president and president in the future.
