Hillsdale Police Searching For New Officer

The deadline to submit a resume is October 7.

Ever wanted to be a police officer?

Following a series of new hires and promotions over the past year — including most recently the promotion of Robert Francaviglia to captain — the Hillsdale Police Department is again accepting resumes for a police officer, according to a notice posted on their website.

The department is looking for someone with "a valid Basic Police Officer NJPTC certification or have a SLEO Class II certification that is currently eligible for a waiver from the NJPTC" or maybe someone currently in a Basic Police Officer class who will graduate before the end of the year, according to the notice.

Candidates for the job must possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license, pass a psychological evaluation, pass a medical exam and drug screening and be able to perform the essential job functions of a police officer.

To apply, send a resume and PTC certification by 3 p.m. October 7 to:
Hillsdale Police Department
Attn: Captain Robert Francaviglia
380 Hillsdale Ave.
Hillsdale, NJ 07642
