Booze Shopping Spree Leads to Arrest For Credit Card Fraudsters, Police Say

Two NY men arrested for allegedly using fake credit cards to buy about $2,000 worth of alcohol.

Hillsdale Police arrested two men Friday for allegedly trying to use bogus credit cards to buy about $2,000 worth of alcohol at Bottle King.

Geovanny Florimon and Jose Zamora, both 34 and from Bronx, N.Y., were arrested after an employee of the store called police to report their suspicious credit card, according to Police Officer William Diedtrich.

When police arrived, Florimon produced a Pennsylvania driver's license and credit cards, all of which turned out to be phony, according to Diedtrich.

Police also found the men had already purchased alcohol at another store using the fake cards, according to Diedtrich.

Florimon was charged with credit card theft, criminal simulation, fraudulent use of a credit card and possession of a fraudulent license. He was held in Bergen County Jail on $10,000 bail.

Zamora was charged with fraudulent use of a credit card and held in Bergen County Jail on $2,500 bail.
