An MSNBC prison documentary series is set to feature the Bergen County Jail on a string of episodes airing next month, the Bergen County Sheriff’s Officer announced in a release Wednesday.

Lockup, a documentary that profiles inmates, incidents, and prison operations at jails across the country, will run six episodes about the Hackensack prison starting March 1.

According to the release, the show filmed at the BCJ from June to October of last year, often filming 40 to 60 hours a week.

“Our corrections officers and staff at the Jail are dedicated to running an efficient operation,” Sheriff Michael Saudino said in the release.

“I am very thankful for their professionalism, and I look forward to their hard work being showcased in this documentary. The Bergen County Jail is one of the finest correctional facilities in the state.”

Lockup airs in MSNBC on Saturday nights.

With any luck, Chris Christie will make an appearance as the show's "celebrity inmate". :) #BridgeGate

I can't believe MSNBC is breaking away from their round-the-clock Christie coverage for this. Maybe they have written a Christie-aspect piece to the show.
