BVMI Seeking Nursing and Social Work Volunteers

Bergen Volunteer Medical Initiative (BVMI) is looking for currently licensed Registered Nurses and Licensed Clinical Social Workers to volunteer for a four hour shift (9:00 – 1:00 pm or 1:00 – 5:00 pm Monday –Friday or 3:00 – 7:00 pm on Thursday) twice monthly.

Volunteers will be able to choose their schedule and can volunteer as much or as little as they want.  Volunteers will be using their one-to-one skills in a positive, stress-free, efficient setting supported by BVMI’s outstanding administrative staff.

Bergen Volunteer Medical Initiative is a volunteer nonprofit organization providing free primary healthcare to low-income working adults in Bergen County without insurance or the means to pay for care.  BVMI is guided by the “Culture of Caring” and believes that how people are treated is as important as the care they receive.  Last year 65 volunteer physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, nutritionists and others treated 1,000 patients in over 6,000 medical visits.  For more information, visit www.bvmi.org, email info@bvmi.org or call 201-342-2478 and ask for Michelle or Hilary.  Current RN license required.  BVMI Healthcare Center is a state-licensed ambulatory care facility.  Patients are seen by appointment at the Center, 241 Moore Street, Hackensack, NJ.
