Jacqueline Do, Longtime Washington Township Employee, Dead at 83

Do worked in a variety of positions for Washington Township for 50 years.

Jacqueline Do, the former CFO, treasurer and financial director of Washington Township, died Wednesday at the age of 83.

Do was first hired by the township in 1962, according to her obituary. She started as a part-time secretary for the planning board, later taking on a variety of positions as she continued her education and earned more certifications throughout her career. She retired at the end of October last year.

Washington Township Mayor Janet Sobkowicz previously said Do had "a wealth of knowledge" and often provided information to others in the township government. She also attended most council meetings, even bringing an oxygen tank with her toward the end of her career.
