How to Read Music Fundamental Class

St. John the
Baptist RC Church introduces a new program, "How to Read Music", open
to all ages and levels. "How to Read Music" is taught by a graduate

of the Julliard School in NYC, and is meant to teach the basics of music theory

in a light-hearted environment. Classes are led in plain spoken language,

occasionally using recorded examples from classical and recent pop music.

"How to Read Music" is open to anyone in the community interested in

learning to read music or brushing up on musical knowledge.

"How to Read Music" is
held at St. John the Baptist RC Church, 69 Valley Street, Hillsdale. Classes
are free of charge and will run for through the 2014 year on Wednesday evenings
from 7:00 - 7:30 pm and on Thursday evenings from 6:30 - 7:00 pm.
Attendees are
welcome to come to one or both sessions each week. No previous musical
background in singing or instruments is necessary in order to participate. For
more information, please contact StJohnsMusicDept@gmail.com
or visit www.stjohnhillsdale.com.
