Miller, Bicocchi Win Westwood Council Seats

The two Republicans won the open council seats.

Westwood's Republican council candidates won the two seats up for election this year, according to unofficial results.

Incumbent candidate Robert Miiller had 1,552 votes, Robert Bicocchi had 1,488 votes, Angela Perkins had 1,420 votes and Ruth Nass had 1,356 votes, according to the unofficial results.

Miller and Biccochi said they wished to thank the residents who supported them.

"I'm very thankful and I'll do the best I can for the residents of Westwood," Bicocchi said.

Miller also said he felt humbled and pledged they would work to keep the borough affordable while preserving the quality of the community.

"The results reaffirm that that's what the residents want us to do," he said.
