Knights of Columbus Holding Decathlon

The Knights of Columbus are holding their fourth annual decathlon October 27.

The 10 talent testers are: pool shooting, basketball free throw, dart throwing, wiffle ball pitch, golf putting, football toss, golf chip shot, horse shoe toss, soccer kick and bocce ball roll. Each activity will be performed 10 times. Each successful attempt will be awarded one point. The totals for each activity will be tallied, and the “athlete” with the highest total will be declared the Knight’s “Decathlete of the Year.”

The competition will take place at the Knights of Columbus Mother Seton Council #5427 athletic complex located at 79 Pascack Road, Washington Township. This event will test which Mother Seton Council member or guest has the highest cumulative skill in a wide range of sporting activities. It will take place on October 27 from 1 to 6 p.m.

The entry fee is $25 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under. The net proceeds will go to local Knights of Columbus Charities. Cash awards will go to the adult and youth winners. (Amount of award will depend on turnout for the day.)
