Westwood Mom Opens Speech Therapy Practice

Paula Korik was previously a speech therapist with the Bergen County Special Services School District.

A Westwood speech therapist recently lived out a longtime dream by opening her own private practice in the borough.

Paula Korik opened her practice at 223 Old Hook Road, across from HackensackUMC at Pascack Valley.

Korik has 13 years of experience in the field, having previously worked at the Pediatric Center for Feeding and Swallowing Disorders at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital in Paterson and the Bergen County Special Services School District, where she worked with many autistic children. She holds a masters degree from William Paterson University.

Korik, a mom, serves both adult and child patients.

"I can relate to how intensely parents want to get the best services for their kids," Korik said. "I get it."

Her specializations include feeding and swallowing, language therapy, augmentative communications, social skills and voice disorders.

Korik accepts insurance. For more info, check out her website.
