Hillsdale ShopRite Owner Plans Broadway Strip Mall
The new building would be across the street from the existing supermarket and they would move their liquor store there, if the plan is approved.
The owners of the Hillsdale ShopRite are planning to build a new strip mall across the street from the supermarket to house their liquor store and other businesses.
Inserra Supermarkets has filed an application with the Hillsdale Planning Board to build an 11,850-square-foot building on the parking lot across Broadway from the ShopRite near Woodcliff Lake.
Plans for the building show as many as six retail spaces inside, including ShopRite Liquors, which would move from across the street. The parking lot would be reconfigured and include 79 parking spaces.
Inserra will require permission to consolidate four lots that make up the existing parking lot, a site plan approval and a sign variance from the board to build the new strip mall.
