Westwood Hosts Restaurant Week

Many restaurants and stores in downtown Westwood are offering special deals for the occasion.

Westwood restaurants are offering specials this week as part of the Chamber of Commerce's second annual restaurant week.

More than 20 restaurants and shops are participating in the event this year. Restaurants are offering prix fixe menus at $25 and $30 as well as special menu items for the occaison. Some local shops are extending their hours for restaurant week and giving discounts to customers who bring in receipts from participating restaurants.

Six new restaurants have opened in Westwood over the past 18 months, including new sushi place Osaka and world-class Mediterranean eatery Mezza. The Iron Horse also reopened this spring after a fire damaged their just over a year ago.

The participating restaurants include Rolling Pin Cafe, P.J. Finnegan's, Harmony Tea Room, Bibi'z, Banchetto Feast, It's Greek to Me, The Melting Pot, Pompilio's Pizza and Jack's Cafe, among others.

Check out each restaurant for more information about the deals they have available. Restaurant week lasts until October 14.
