A digital media crew from Mercedes-Benz filmed "technology footage" on Park Avenue in Hillsdale last week.
The street was closed between Patterson Street and the railroad tracks while the crew shot footage to show off the company's Parktronic system, which can steer a car into — and out of — a parking spot, according to Donna Boland, a company spokesperson.
The video will be used on the Mercedes-Benz website and possibly other social media, according to Boland.
Mercedes-Benz's U.S. headquarters is based nearby in Montvale. Hillsdale's proximity and "the beautiful landscape which had the look and feel that they were looking for" were the reasons the crew chose to film in the borough, Boland told Patch.
