Hospital Looking For New Employees

HackensackUMC at Pascack Valley is filling 40 positions this year and more next year as they prepare to open.

HackensackUMC at Pascack Valley is planning to hold an employment open house in Westwood on Oct. 10, according to hospital rep Lauren Zaccardi Samman.

The hospital is looking to hire 40 people this year for positions in a wide variety of medical, technical and administrative fields.

The hospital has plans to employ about 350 people by next spring, when they are scheduled to open.

Hospital CEO Chad Melton said they were looking for "the best and brightest" to staff the facility.

“We are excited to begin our hiring process and bring jobs back to this community," Melton said in a press release. "Our commitment to providing the highest quality care to the Pascack and Northern Valley communities relies on the individuals and healthcare experts that will become part of our growing team."

The employment open house will take place in the hospital's lobby October 10 from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Hospital officials are asking interested applicants to bring multiple copies of their resumes.

It's about time. Having worked at PVH in the Admitting Department I am so glad that the hospital is being re-opened. I wish I could go back to work there but I am on Perm. Disability. I know so many people who worked there are still looking for jobs so I hope they can be re-hired when it does open.

I worked at PVH as an RN for 27 years, retiring in 1999. It was a wonderful family and the finest medical, nursing, pharmacists, para-professionals and ancillary personnel. I am so pleased to hear that the hospital will soon be serving the community once again.
