There were a total of 23 incidents in the district during the second half of last school year.

Pascack Valley Regional Schools Superintendent P. Erik Gundersen presented the district's vandalism and violence report during the Board of Education meeting this week.

School officials are required by state law to present the reports twice per year.

Between January 1 and June 30 of this year, there were a total of 23 incidents in the district, including three of violence, one of vandalism, 13 of substance abuse and six of harassment, intimidation and bullying, according to Gundersen. There were no incidents involving weapons during that time.

Board of Education President Bertram Siegel emphasized the district's continuing efforts to present the up-to-date data.
