Girl Scouts, Legionnaires Delivering Cookies to Troops

Customers buying Girl Scout cookies will be able to buy extra boxes to send to active troops and vets.

Hillsdale Girl Scout Troop 318 is partnering with American Legion Post 162 to donate cookies to active troops and veterans.

The young ladies are out selling the cookies and are asking their customers if they would like to donate cookies to the service personnel and veterans. This donation idea has become so popular that the Girl Scout order forms have added a column designated for donations.

When the sales drive is over the donated cookies will be packed up by the Legionnaires and shipped off to active duty service personnel as well as the vets in the Paramus Veterans Home. The Legionnaires are looking forward to preparing another shipment of delicious Girl Scout cookies as they have done over the years.

If any other Scout Troops need help with their donated cookies they can call Post 162 at 201-664-2884.

Based upon the active duty military troop thank you responses, the cookies will all be eaten before they have a chance to get stale.
