We were in the papers twice last week. The First, for our support of PV Meals on Wheels. The second, for our CPR Anytime training at the Mercedes-Benz USA headquarters.
Alice is back from her trip to Poland. She will be speaking about her experience to the club at our September 5th Meeting. Coffee and desert will be served. This is a great opportunity to invite some guest who might be interested in the Youth Exchange Program.

11:30 am –2:00 PM. We as a club were invited to attend. If you wish to help out, Please let me know by 9/9/2013. We do need 5 people to volunteer.
Charter Party – November 6, 2013(in the evening) at the Estate of Florentine Gardens River Vale. We are now official. This party celebrates us and our members are honored. Everyone from the district attends and gives us gifts. $35 pp.
Meet and Greet-- This event will probably occur in October.
CPR Anytime – The First Congregational Church of River Edge has asked the Club to provide a session of CPR Anytime. Mercedes–Benz asked for a second class. I am teaching the Park Ridge Rotary Club on September 20th.
ShelterBox – Planning a Youth camp-out to raise money. Martha and Jaimie. Please volunteer to help. ShelterBox the premier international aid organization that provides emergency shelter and life-saving equipment following disasters such as earthquake, volcano, flood, hurricane, cyclone, tsunami or conflict.
Social Music Jam— Westwood Library is currently hosting a free Summer Music Program for Children with Special Needs. This program is facilitated by Westwood Rotary, offered by MarbleJam Kids and funded by David's Fund, an endowment established by Tom and Lucy Ott of Westwood for the support and advancement of music therapy.
Business Meeting— our next business meeting is Thursday, September 12th at 11:30 am at the Westwood Library. If you can do only one meeting a month, this is the meeting. Please put this on your calendar. This meeting updates you on all that is happening, It is a reporting and planning meeting.
