Special Senate Election Wednesday

Eight candidates are seeking the U.S. Senate seat left open by the late Frank Lautenberg.

The polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday for a special senate election to complete Frank Lautenberg's term.

The well-known frontrunners are Democrat Cory Booker and Republican Steve Lonegan, but six other candidates including Robert DePasquale, Stuart David Meissner, Pablo Olivera, Eugene Martin LaVergne, Edward "Ed the Barber" C. Stackhouse Jr. and Antonio Nico Sabas are also seeking the seat.
