Sober Living Home Hearing Continues Tuesday

The Hillsdale Planning Board is scheduled to continue hearing an application for a sober living home on Magnolia Avenue during their meeting Tuesday.

At the previous hearing, held in September, residents questioned a social worker who testified on behalf of the application. 

A professional planner is expected to testify at the next hearing and will likely address the reasons why the applicant, Donna Lally, believes the board should consider the residents of the sober living home a "family" under the definition in borough ordinance.

That decision will determine whether or not Lally needs a use variance for the sober living home, which she has also applied for but has requested be considered separately.
