Hillsdale ShopRite Strip Mall Hearing Starts Tuesday

Here's a look at what's going on in Westwood, Hillsdale and Washington Township Tuesday.

The Hillsdale Planning Board is scheduled to begin hearing Inserra Supermarkets' application to build a new 11,850-square-foot strip mall across from ShopRite during their meeting Tuesday night.

If the plan is approved, ShopRite would move their liquor store there and rent out the extra space. The parking lot where it would be built would still have 79 spaces.

The Hillsdale Planning Board meets at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the borough hall. The agenda is available here.

The Westwood Council, which meets at 8 p.m. in the borough municipal building, is scheduled to take a final vote on the ordinance adjusting rules for police promotionsThe agenda is available here
