Hillsdale Council to Vote on Shared Court Study Tuesday

The Hillsdale Council meets at 7:30 p.m. in borough hall.

The Hillsdale Council is scheduled to vote on a pair of resolutions regarding possible shared court services during their meeting Tuesday night.

The first will authorize the award of a joint contract with Westwood and River Vale for a study to examine the potential shared court service and what savings, if any, it would generate for the towns. The other two towns have already approved resolutions for the contract.

The second resolution will authorize Hillsdale to enter an agreement with Bergen County for a $5,000 grant for the feasibility study.

Hillsdale had previously looked into joining the Tri-Boro Court shared by Montvale, Woodcliff Lake and Park Ridge, but officials in those towns decided Hillsdale's share of costs would not justify an expansion.

The Hillsdale Council meets at 7:30 p.m. in the borough hall. The meeting's agenda is available here.
