This year's fundraiser will honor two organizations that have provided invaluable support for Bergen CASA: Kundert Volvo of Hasbrouck Heights and the Lorin Konner Sherman Memorial Fund.
 The evening will be a Casino Night, with gaming tables, a silent auction and basket prizes. Included in the ticket price of $200 per person is a wide array of scrumptious hors d’oeuvres, food stations and desserts, open bar and $100 of casino play money. Sponsorships and ticket packages are also available, starting with a couples package for $425 which includes two tickets, and a business card in the Bergen County CASA journal.

About the Honorees Since 1944, Kundert Volvo has been a cornerstone of the Hasbrouck Heights community, specializing in sales and service of both new and used cars. As one of the nation's oldest Volvo dealerships since 1959, Kundert Volvo is renowned for its commitment to excellence and community engagement. In times of crisis, such as when the Hasbrouck Heights Fire Station faced destruction, Kundert Volvo stepped up, providing a temporary home for essential equipment to ensure uninterrupted service by firefighters. Kundert Volvo's philanthropic efforts extend to supporting Bergen CASA, reflecting their dedication to overlooked and marginalized individuals.
 In 2006, Kenneth and Phyllis Konner established the Lorin Konner Sherman Memorial Fund in loving memory of their daughter, Lorin Konner Sherman. This heartfelt initiative has made a significant impact by raising over $253,000 for Bergen County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). The fund's noble mission is to support foster children in our community, ensuring their safety, well-being, and the pursuit of permanent homes. Lorin's legacy lives on through this remarkable endeavor, touching the lives of countless young hearts in need.
Board President Zonie Le Sane states, "Year after year our community support matters more than ever for youth in foster care. Not only is Casino Night a fun event, but its proceeds will transform someone's dark moment into a blaze of light. You'll never know how much your caring matters. Kindness comes in many forms, and supporting our program can be a lifesaver to a youth in need."
About Bergen County CASA Since its inception Bergen CASA has changed lives and nurtured hope for over 825 foster children. Bergen County CASA for Children is the only non-profit in Bergen County whose mission is to provide advocacy services to abused and neglected children who have been placed in foster care. Our CASA volunteers regularly visit the children and obtain information about their medical, educational, mental health, and recreational needs. They provide critical information to the family court judges so they can make sound decisions that are in the best interests of these children.
