What Should Go in the Former CVS?

The Westwood CVS recently moved to its new location on Broadway and Jefferson Avenue.

The Westwood CVS recently closed its doors and moved shop to their newly-built site on the corner of Broadway and Jefferson Avenue.

The former location is still available for rent, according to signs on the building. The building has more than 8,000 square feet and is located on the corner of Westwood Avenue and Center Avenue, near the middle of the borough's busy Central Business District.

The CBD is zoned for many different uses.

Patch readers on our Facebook page already had a few suggestions for the kinds of business they'd like to see occupy the former CVS, including an arcade, a Mexican restaurant or a small hardware store.

What kind of business would you like to see in the former CVS? Share your ideas in the comments below.

Panera or Chipolte would be great.

Westwood hasn't been the same since Strunk's closed, so I'm going to go with a great deli. I'd dearly love a Panera too, but I can't imagine they'd open one right across the street from Sbux.

A green grocer like the old California Farms or a hardware store. But first, the building looks like it is in need of repairs.

Not sure if green grocer good idea. The green grocer in Rivervale went through 2 owners within 1 year and did not last and good luck getting permission from home depot/lowes to open a hardware store.

That's a great idea, Robert! But that large space might work better for another bank.

Panera would be fantastic; but they usually place their locations in higher traffic areas with more parking. The last thing we need is another Pizzeria, nail salon, beauty Parlor, cleaners etc. And don't even mention a 7 Eleven. A good burger place would fit in well (like a Smash Burger) and I do like the idea of a good sit down Deli, but it seems in Westwood they all fail. Last good one we had was a collaboration of Mark Goldberg and Alan called Alans.
