Westwood Baseball Parents Fundraising For Team
The team is selling flip-flops and holding a a flapjack breakfast.
The Westwood Diamond Club, a group of baseball parents at Westwood Regional High School, is holding two fundraisers for the team.
The club is currently selling flip-flops and sliders for $20 (see order form below the photo) and taking orders through March 24.
They are also holding a flapjack breakfast April 28 at Applebee's on Route 17 in Paramus. Tickets for that event are $10 and will be available at the door.
Money raised by the club go to things that are not included in the yearly school district budget such as equipment, field maintenance, and a scoreboard, according to club Co-Chair Alison May.

It won't matter one bit if they don't field a team that can compete. Don't forget what happened last year when they failed to rehire the most successful baseball coach in school history because a disgraced former superintendent didn't like him. Some trade off - yearly success for parental involvement and influence. Sell or buy some flip flops and flapjacks and your kid gets to play of gets his picture on the website. It is laughable.

Are these the same people I see teaching their kids to beg at busy intersections? What a disgrace! At least with flip flops and flapjacks sales the lesson learned is a valuable one.
